Valentine's Day (oops it's late)

This picture is of Jackson coloring his valentines. He didn't past long, he is still figuring out what all the hype is with coloring.
Speaking of coloring, having a five year old around has reminded me how much I LOVE coloring haha!
Valentine's Day was pretty low key here, as we are still freshly newly weds and we are still on cloud nine. I woke up to a beautiful love note written on my bathroom mirror that is still up, I cant seem to wipe it off. :) I gave Max a homemade card with a love note in it and we exchanged sweets.
Life has been good, we have been getting use to the new dynamics of a step family with driving back forth to pick up and drop off our kids, parenting as step parents, and making the most of our time together.
Looking back, I had no idea I would ever be in this position, with having to deal with exes on a regular basis, living in Vernal, having two kids at just 23, and most exciting of all, being married to such an incredible man. There is not a day that goes by that I don't have to pinch myself and think "how did I get this amazing man?!" Plus he treats me like a gem!
Happy late Valentine's Day!

It's Alive!

This is my washing machine. No, I didn't put it there, it moved itself 8-10 inches away from the wall. This is a regular occurrence.
Apparently there are several washers in our complex with minds of their own, revolting against their masters. Our landlord has informed us a technician will be out soon to fix or replace it.
In the meanwhile, we will be doing our best to stay out of his way.

Just another Wednesday

My ring has come! The weekend before the wedding we went into Jerrick's and customized a ring. We were about to pick out a ring for max and he said something like, "by the way, can you have these done by Saturday?" The jeweler's jaw hit the floor! He made a quick call and told us they were going to rush it and have it fine the day before the wedding.
The day of the wedding came and they told us one of the sapphires broke so we could take the display model of one of my favorite rings and they would ship it to us ASAP. Well a week and a half later it finally showed up! I can't stop looking at it, I love it!
Aside from this event, we have been enjoying the warmer weather (yay for mid-20's!), we have all but 2-3 boxes unpacked, Jackson has had a few rough nights, but has finally settled in and is back to his happy, sassy, giggly self. He eats better for max than me, and signs better for him too!
I went to a Relief Society activity tonight and enjoyed making some new friends. Turns out we aren't the only newlyweds in our ward :)
The other shot is of Jackson's fingers coming under the door, he couldn't wait a moment longer for me to finish in the bathroom, lol.
We are planning a trip back to Logan soon, should be nice to see familiar faces again!

It's Official!

To our family and friends,

I would like to officially announce that I got married on January 26th. Max
Johnson and I grew up on the same street. We both left the ward, got
married, each had a son, got divorced and moved back to our parents' ward.
We got to know each other through the ward and once my divorce was finalized
we began dating. It didn't take long for us and all our family to realize
that we were meant for each other. Max got a job here in vernal and we
decided to get married. We spent about 2 weeks packing, moving, and planning
a small wedding. Our wedding was at my parents house, with a handful of
immediate family. Unfortunately my brothers could not come, but they were
able to join us via webcam.

Thank you for everyone's understanding and support. We are loving the fresh
start here in vernal and miss providence dearly.

Sincerely,

Kelsey Marble Johnson
